At Ateliers Jacob, we are proud to offer two warranty programs designed to give our customers peace of mind. These warranties cover a variety of products and services, because we firmly believe that quality and durability are key factors in customer satisfaction.
The Ateliers Jacob inc. warranty applies to the original purchaser and is transferable to subsequent owners for the duration of its validity. However, please note that until the full payment is settled, Ateliers Jacob inc. reserves the right to refrain from any actions stipulated in the terms of this warranty.
Warranty Program
Ateliers Jacob inc. Warranty – FREE (1)
1-Year Warranty
Subject to the exclusions set forth herein, Ateliers Jacob inc. warrants for one year from the delivery date the following products against:
- Any manufacturing defect affecting the products supplied.
- Any defect affecting the products related to the assembly, the installation or the delivery, if performed by Ateliers Jacob inc.
2-5 Year Warranty (1)
Subject to the exclusions set forth herein, Ateliers Jacob inc. warrants for two to five years from the delivery date the following products against manufacturing defects:
- Doors

Regular hinges
- Drawer slides
- Drawer fronts and mouldings
- Melamine and glass shelves
- All drawer parts
25-Year Warranty (1)
Subject to the exclusions set forth herein, Ateliers Jacob inc. warrants for twenty-five years from the delivery date the following products against manufacturing defects:
- Manufactured cabi net frames
- Hardware
(1) Labour and transportation at customers’ expense for the regular warranty program.
ELITE WARRANTY PROGRAM
Ateliers Jacob inc. Warranty – 10% of the purchase price
The Ateliers Jacob Elite Warranty Program offers two free inspections. Delivery and installations are included within a 100 km radius of our St-Jérôme branch office, otherwise additional fees may apply. Costs related to plumbing and electrical work are not covered by the Elite warranty program. The Ateliers Jacob Elite Warranty Program includes the regular warranty program as well as:
5-Year Warranty (maximum)
Ateliers Jacob inc. warrants for five years from the delivery date on the following parts and storage accessories:
- Aesthetic touch-ups
- Door adjustments
- Handle replacements
- Garbage bins
- Solid countertop joints
- Finishing joints
Exclusions
Please take note of the following exclusions as they constitute Ateliers Jacob inc.’s warranty limitations. These exclusions, when applicable, release Ateliers Jacob inc. from any liability associated with the aforementioned warranty, and no claims can be made against Ateliers Jacob inc. in relation to such warranty.
- Ateliers Jacob inc.’s warranty does not cover damages to any product resulting from improper, negligent or abusive use or handling, accident, lack of maintenance or any other cause.
- Ateliers Jacob inc.’s warranty does not cover damages to any product resulting from normal wear and tear or deterioration of said product, including discoloration, scratches and yellowing.

- Ateliers Jacob inc.’s warranty does not cover damages to handles or finish variations when such damages or variations occur one (1) year after delivery.
- Ateliers Jacob inc.’s warranty does not cover indirect damages suffered by the customer as a result of a defect or fault in a product, including, but not limited to, loss of time, loss of use or enjoyment, hassles and inconvenience.
- Unless otherwise specified, Ateliers Jacob Inc.’s warranty does not cover installation and/or delivery charges.
- Ateliers Jacob Inc.’s warranty does not cover minor defects relating to any product, including those which are not visible from a distance of at least one (1) metre.
- Ateliers Jacob Inc.’s warranty does not cover products against the warping of MDF 1-piece and 5-piece doors wider than24″ or higher than 42″, nor any urban door wider than 24″or higher than 72″.
- Ateliers Jacob Inc.’s warranty does not cover damages caused by excessive temperature or humidity, contact with water, chemical reactions, temperature shock or in case of a force majeure.
- Ateliers Jacob Inc.’s warranty does not cover MDF opaque lacquer products and 5-piece wood materials against microcracks.
Partners
Ateliers Jacob inc. does not offer any warranty on complementary products from its partners, such as light fixtures, LED light strips, bins, handles, hardware that may rust, and applied latex.

Replacement Policy – Hardware
Constantly on the lookout for new trends, Ateliers Jacob inc. offers several collections with unique features. These collections have been carefully studied and selected to represent the best products on the market today. In the event that Ateliers Jacob Inc. modifies, adds or withdraws products from its offer, the present policy attests to its rights for any modification to it.
- If Ateliers Jacob inc. needs to replace a product, we reserve the right to replace the materials originally used with materials of equal or greater quality.
- If Ateliers Jacob inc. needs to replace a product, we cannot guarantee the parity of the replacement product, or the materials used to replace any product. However, we will cooperate with the customer to find a reasonable and suitable alternative for both parties.
- If the customer does not make a subsequent effort to find a placement product, Ateliers Jacob inc. reserves the right to make the final selection of the replacement product.
- If the customer wants a product other than the one initially installed when replacing a product, the customer agrees to assume any price difference between the replaced product and the product initially installed.

Claims
To file a claim with Ateliers Jacob inc., it must be presented according to the following terms and conditions:
- The customer agrees to send their claim to Ateliers Jacob inc. within thirty (30) days following the event which, according to the customer, involves a warranty offered by Ateliers Jacob inc. The claim must be in writing and sent by mail or email to the following address:

- All claims must contain a clear and precise description of the situation and must be accompanied by a copy of the purchase contract or order number. If the customer fails to provide these documents, they accept that there may be additional delays in the processing of their request.
- Ateliers Jacob inc. reserves the right to inspect the customer’s home to evaluate the merits of the claim. The customer agrees to allow Ateliers Jacob inc. access to the product(s) that are related to the complaint.
- Following the inspection in accordance with the foregoing, Ateliers Jacob inc. will determine if the product should be replaced and if the warranty is applicable. The decision will be forwarded to the customer as soon as possible.
* Should the customer fail to comply fully with the preceding terms and conditions, the claim will be deemed inadmissible by Ateliers Jacob inc. and the customer will have to make a new claim that complies with these terms and conditions.
