Hello, it’s a great day to start a project.
The Copenhagen
Classic kitchen
A great job was done in this classic style kitchen!
Looking at the huge center island, you'll notice the cabinetry work that was done on the oak kitchen cabinets. The color of the moldings was used as inspiration to apply that same color to the wood. And the result is so similar that you would think the island was made of the same wood. Also note the white lacquered MDF cabinets and drawers work as if they were made of paneling. This material was also used to create the beautiful valances above the windows. All of this was matched with beautiful double thickness granite countertops finished in double ogee.
Looking at the focal point of the room, the solid center island, one notices the skillful cabinetry work that produced compact yet spacious, well-placed, yet overflowing oak kitchen cabinets. The molding color inspired us to apply that element to the wood and the result was that it tied together the whole space as if one used the same beautiful, wooden element. Note, too, that the white lacquered MDF cabinets and drawers work together as if they were one and of the same material.
This design concept and material were used to create the beautiful valances above the windows. All of this was matched with handsome, double-thickness granite countertops finished in double ogee. After the focal point, there is the centerpiece, and one cannot help but stare in awe at the royal blue La Cornue stove complete with rustic polished brass knobs and trim, matched with a blue-lacquered MDF hood edged with stained oak, a successful ensemble.
