The Kennedy Kitchen
Contemporary Kitchen
Ryan Kennedy, a renowned musician hailing from Quebec, harboured a dream of building a home that was a reflection of his personality – a space that was as unique, moody, and stylish as the melodies he created. He envisioned a mid-century modern inspired home that would serve as a testament to his aesthetic sensibilities while also being a welcoming haven for his friends and family. Ryan and his wife wanted their home to be a place where they could entertain their loved ones, a sanctuary where laughter and music resonated and memories were etched in every corner. Maximizing the wow effect in the simplest way was the goal.
To bring this dream to life, the Kennedys made the bold choice of using a single material for all the custom cabinets throughout the house. This design choice allowed for a seamless flow from room to room, giving the interiors a sense of cohesion and unity. It left ample visual space, allowing the stunning views from the floor-to-ceiling windows to take centre stage.
The rich textures and earthy tones of natural stone brought a touch of nature indoors, adding depth and richness to the space. It was a design choice that perfectly encapsulated the Kennedys’ love for nature and their desire for a home that was a blend of contemporary style and natural beauty.
