Because well-being is also cultivated at home, through spaces that bring us closer together and naturally adapt to our habits. Here, the kitchen weaves the fabric of a more intentional daily life. Designed with the family’s needs in mind, the kitchen creates a natural setting for time spent together and the everyday routines that shape family life.
This attention to daily life extends to the choice of materials, whose harmonious blend creates a deeply reassuring atmosphere. Sourced from nature or inspired by its hues, they come together through their grain, density, and complementary tones. Walnut lends depth to the ensemble, enhanced by its rich browns and the natural movement of its grain.
Alongside it, stone reveals shades of sand and limestone. Within this colour palette, the “Soie” lacquer from the Ateliers Jacob Collection creates a visual balance—a clarity that allows the deep browns of the walnut to breathe.
Walnut: A Subtle Presence
The wood’s grain creates its own map. On the facades, its grain rises, branches off, and narrows. Some lines remain almost straight; others trace broader movements that shift our perception of the wood from one door to the next. The passage of time is inscribed in this pattern, whose variations lend the project a sense of life.
To balance the presence of walnut, Ateliers Jacob pairs it with Soie lacquer. The colour seems drawn from its surroundings: a touch of quartz, a touch of stone.
Minerals Set the Tone
The precise geometry of the cabinets harmonizes with the richness of the grain patterns that run across the surfaces.
The veins of quartz follow their own course, while the masonry stone retains the irregularity of its blocks, joints, and sandy hues. As the hours pass, its texture catches the light and reveals its rough edges and variations in tone.
Their patterns differ, but both bring a natural warmth to the kitchen.
The Entertaining Wine Corner
Extending from the kitchen island, the wine corner embodies the same spirit of togetherness. Its countertop provides additional space for preparing glasses, serving a cocktail, or setting down a bottle. Built right underneath, the wine cabinet keeps the wine bottles within easy reach.
Wood, stone, and glass give this area a more cozy feel. The cabinets rise all the way to the ceiling, accentuating the perceived height of the kitchen. The dark tint of the smoked glass doors softens their transparency and discreetly reveals the glassware inside.
Against the masonry, long walnut shelves trace horizontal lines. Their straight lines contrast with the irregularity of the stone and highlight its texture.
Between Two Arches: The Barista Corner
Behind the kitchen, the barista corner emerges between two successive arches. Their curves soften the transition and form a short, narrow passageway.
In this recessed space, the rich depth of the walnut creates a more intimate setting for the morning routine. The deep-toned counter unites the sink and the coffee machine in a compact arrangement, designed to keep every element of the ritual within easy reach. The aroma of coffee drifts through the arches and gently reaches the kitchen, connecting this morning ritual to the rest of the house. The barista corner creates a dedicated space for the morning routine, setting a gentle rhythm for the day ahead.
